BROUWERIJ VAKWERK - HEUVELKE strong blonde ale
A true show of craftmenship from Mechelen (NL). Three friends with a passion for beer have brewed this beautiful, gastronomical blond beer. Full and powerful, with tones of dried grass and hay. This young brewery is creating high expectations for the future with their Heuvelke.
VAN HOPPEN - BLOND blonde
Another beer that has its inception in friendship. Two childhood mates bought a small brewing system to put in their garage and started brewing to their own liking. This blonde is a perfectly balanced blond, with sweet tones from the malts and bitter flavours from the hop varieties they haved used.
ACHEL 8 BLOND blonde
A former Trappist beer... The brewery has been taken over by a private company and the lasts monks have left the abbey, the recipe will stay the same. A true classic Belgian blonde stemming from a gorgeous abbey well worth the visit.
ENIGMA - TAMERA triple
Our friends from Enigma Brewery have created a Belgian triple with a twist. They have used an unusual comination of hops. You can expect the herbacious and sweet notes of a classic triple. The surprise lies in the aromatic flavours of tropicle fruit. A favourite amongst our staff.
RIMOR BREWERY - MERCATOR triple
This is the second beer of this brewery in our Local Heroes fridge. Again, there is a twist down the road. This road to discovery leads us east, with a hint of szechuan pepper. Fruity tones come from clementines and the kicker is hazelnut. Hazulnut? Yes... really!
VAL-DIEU - TRIPEL triple
The breathtaking abbey of Val-Dieu in Aubel is a true pleasure to visit. The drive through the rolling hills is sensational, and the abbey gardens are impressive in every season. Do not fret, this triple is also very impressive. Herbacious and warm, mild and sweet. You cannot go wrong with this one.
